When we arrived at 7:30, which was the exact time of our reservation, it turned out there weren't any tables because people had arrived late for earlier reservations. The place was packed since it was during the Montréal à Table festival. I suspect that overbooking was involved. I was annoyed since we had reserved about a month previously but the server was very understanding and set us up at the bar until a table became available, which she assured us shouldn't be very long. We were offered a glass of sparkling wine while we waited and decided to order and have our appetizers there. A table did, indeed, become vacant at that point and we were able to enjoy the rest of our meal, which was delicious, around a table. Service was impeccable and friendly, despite the fact that the servers were stressed because of the situation. Definitely, a place to return to.
It was our first time and we really loved everything about the dinner. The salad was super fresh and crisp and the calf's liver among the best I've had. The tarte tatin is not to be missed!

Un bel acceuil personalisée avec un repas succulent. Du foie gras à la saucisse de fruit de mer en passant par les joues de porc et la Dorade (qui a été la star de la soirée), Dans une belle atmosphère feutrée. Je rtecommande et je vais y retourner.
L'endroit porte bien son nom. L'accueil de Bastien rend l'expérience encore plus agréable. Tout était parfait, les saveurs sont bien équilibrées et la présentation est soignée. On y retournera certainement.
I enjoyed the overall dining experience because the place was charming and the atmosphere was nice. However, the restaurant was almost completely empty and I prefer the chatter and clinking of other diners. The service was friendly, but at times a bit creepy and overbearing. Probably because we were some of the only people under the roof. I didn't enjoy my food as much as I thought I would. I think maybe their regular menu is better than the MTL a Table menu, but I got the squid and did not enjoy it. It was too tough and rubbery. I would still probably try again. They had an amazing selection of wine.

We made a reservation on Bookenda and mentioned that it was our anniversary trip. Natalie greeted us and got us settled, and Bastian came to discuss our food selections. He was honest and friendly and did not try to talk us out of appetizer portions but did point out one that would have been too small to share. His recommendations were spot-on, as were his wine pairings (despite our challenging selection of entrees and starters). His continued interaction with us between cooking was so cool! We started with the duck fois gras which was amazing, and then had the scallops which were seared perfectly and were fresh and delicious. But the vennison tartar was mind blowing! Definitely one of the best red meat experiences I have ever had! We finished with creme brulee which was done perfectly also, and then he brought us handmade chocolates on a plate with a drizzled "Happy Anniversary" greeting! This was a memorable meal, a memorable restaurant, and a memorable evening. We want to go back to Montreal just to eat there again!

La nourriture est bonne mais les portions ne sont pas trop genereuses. Le tartare de saumon avait une texture trop hache et manquait de saveur. Il n'y avait pas de croustillant comme decrit au menu. Par contre le plat d'agneau aux epices etait delicieux avec beaucoup de saveur. La combinaison risotto de betteraves et homard n'etait pas extra. Manque de oumps! Les petoncles etaient delicieux! Un peu inegal! L endroit est tres sympathique et le service etait courtois.

Ce fut une deuxième visite aussi surprenante que la première .... La passion des ces propriétaire ce ressent autant dans votre assiette que dans leur service remarquable !!!! Sur et certains qu'il va y avoir une troisième fois ;-)
